I am not normal.
Shocker, eh?
I really hate conforming to mainstream society, be it in thought, action, attitude, music, fashion, gossip, whatever. I don't automatically think of things in an inappropriate manner like some people. Many times I keep my mouth shut in situations because I either don't know what people are talking about or really could care less. I don't get drunk. I don't party. Heck, I hardly get out and do "social" things at all. I don't listen to mainstream radio by choice--I often choose the local contemporary Christian station. I don't follow pop music--I like finding indie groups, listen to classical, jazz, folk, random stuff. I feel weird knowing things that I probably shouldn't have heard. I don't have a TV in my room. I look on the positive side. I make it a point to go to weekday chapel whenever I can. I go to bed early and get up early. I drive a minivan. I don't really watch movies. The walls of my room display hand drawn pictures from my little brother. My ears aren't pierced. I own only two pairs of jeans that aren't too worn to wear in public. I don't drink coffee or soda--I drink tea. It's ridiculously hard for me to do something half-heartedly. I don't swear. I hold myself to high standards. I take the time to honestly ask people how they are doing and expect an answer more than just "fine." I don't like to judge people solely based on what other people say about them--I like making my own opinions. I'm not competitive. My idea of having a good time? Getting up early on a Sunday morning and helping make the communion bread for chapel. Watching the sunset. Practicing trombone for an hour on a Saturday night.
You can't pin a label on me--I'm much more than what you think.
In a world of chocolate ice cream, I'm proud to be vanilla.
Not bland or boring, but unique. Not conforming to somebody else's standards of flavor, etc.
Ready to add whatever toppings I want, just because I can.
Not afraid to be different.
