What made me feel alive today?
Witnessing my students' laugh.
Laughter is the best medicine, they say.
A good laugh and a long sleep are the two best cures, says an Irish proverb.
One of my first grade classes today had a "thank you for doing your best and following expectations" reward day, and I started them off with this silly musical video of Tom and Jerry playing Liszt's Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2.
The adorable laughter that ensued made me so, SO happy. I was beaming internally.
There's something about the beauty of a child's laugh that is so essentially and purely alive.
