5 - daffodils

I saw my first in-person blooming daffodils of the season on this day, just outside the side door of my morning school. The weather was rainy and blah that day, but here was a little bit of bright sunshine popping out of the ground. 

Daffodils hold a special place in my heart. My fame received a vase of daffodils from someone when my brother was born, and the one we had planted in our yard were in bloom right around that time, too. Ever since then, whenever we give the flowers for church on the Sunday closest to my brother's birthday, we get daffodils. 

Daffodils remind me of my brother and his boundless energy and love, 

of sunshine, 

of new life and growth,

and

of happiness.
