Listening and Loving

from May 25, 2014

One resonating point of this sermon:
It is so important to meet people where they are, helping them to understand faith on their level and not making them culturally commute to be able to hear the Gospel.
Paul spoke in ways that made sense to the Greeks.
Jesus made the lowly and outcast understand that they had value, too.
God comes to us in ways we can comprehend, in Jesus, and through the mysterious presence of the Holy Spirit.

It's not about shoving Christianity down people's throats.
It's about listening to their stories,
and sharing God's love with them in a way that reaches who they are in that moment.
